I made my way out to Harris Teeter for super doubles! This trip took a ton of preparation for me. I cleaned out my coupon binder last week which had coupons that expired April 30 in there still! I have not been using my binder as much as I used to. I have kind of been going week to week and searching through piles of coupons for the ones I need. And if I couldn’t find them, well I didn’t get those products.

But this particular trip required lots and lots of printable coupons! My laptop I consider to be dead. It still works, if you like the speed of a dry slug. And Matthew’s laptop does not have my printer installed on it because I can’t find the installation disk. So I went to my parents’ house to print coupons. And it took forever! Matthew took a nap while he waited. It wasn’t really that long, he just likes to exaggerate!

……

First Transaction

1 Buitoni refrigerated pasta $3.70

$1.50/1 pasta when you buy pasta sauce

Final Cost: $.70

1 Buitoni refrigerated pasta sauce $4.19

2 Morningstar Farms Sausage Crumbles $3.29

2 $1/1 printable

Final Cost: $.99 each

1 Harris Teeter Skim Milk gallon $3.39

2 Ritz Crackerfuls $3.19

2 $1/1

Final Cost: $1.19 each

2 Bagel Bites $2.59

$1.50/2

Final Cost: $2.18, or $1.09 each

Snyder’s Pretzel Sandwiches $3.49

$.75/1

$1.50 Upromise coupon also!

Final Cost: $1.99 out of pocket, then $1.50 back, so $.49

3 Hamburger Helper $2.77

$.75/3

Final Cost: $1.27, or $.42 each

3 Mueller’s Pasta 16 oz. $1 each

$1/3 coupon from a Mueller’s calendar I got in the mail last year

Final Cost: $1, or $.33 each

4 Emerald Trail Mixes $1.67 each

2 $1.50/2

Final Cost: $.68, or $.17 each

2 Vlasic Spears $3.39

2 $.55/1 printable

Final Cost: $1.19, or $.60 each!

Total Cost: $37.64

Savings: $57.43

…..

 Second Transaction

2 Morningstar Farms Sausage Crumbles $3.29 each

RETURNED

Total Received Back: $6.71

Savings: -$2.00

…..

Third Transaction

2 Cheez Its $1.99 each

2 Kelloggs Rice Krispie Treats $1.99 each

$1/2 from 8/16

Final Cost: $2, or $1 each

4 Frosted Mini Wheats $3.99

 2 $1/2 printable

Final Cost: $11.96, or $2.99 each

2 Morningstar Farms Sausage Crumbles $3.29 each

2 $1/1 printable

Final Cost: $2.58, or $1.29 each

1 5 lb. bag White Potatoes $2.99

1 3 lb. bag Yellow Onions $1.99

Total Cost: $27.34

Savings: $16.80

And my comment on this order is that there was supposed to be a $10 catalina to print! But it did not! When I asked at customer service, they said that it ended on Saturday. I’m not sure if that’s true or not. I don’t know when it was supposed to end, but I thought it lasted through the weekend. And this explains my second transaction of returning the Morningstar Farms products! I realized first that I hadn’t used the coupons for them and second that they were part of my catalina and that I needed them on this order. You can imagine my disappointment when nothing printed. I wanted to cry for just a moment!

…..

Fourth Transaction

2 Honey Nut Cheerios $2.50 each

$1/2 printable

Final Cost: $3, or $1.50 each

2 Frosted Cheerioes $2.50 each

1 Peter Pan Peanut Butter $.97

2 Welch’s Grape Jelly $.97 each

Total Cost: $16.97

Savings: $39.95

…..

Total for the Trip: $75.24

Total Savings: $112.18

But technically, I should remove the potatoes and onions because I was getting them for my grandma. So in that case I spent $70.16 total and saved $110.18. If that catalina had printed, I would have only spent $60.16. But I can’t fix that now, so I guess I will be satisfied!

And I think I got a good mix of things this time. Lots of breakfast stuff which we always seem to be out of, some easy dinners, and lots of snacks that are actually somewhat healthy (compared to other snacks).
