I love reading $5 Dinners because of how simple and easy the recipes are and of course the price is amazingly cheap! And I thought this was a great recipe and wanted to share it with all of you! I personally hate roast. Anyone that knows me or has eaten a homecooked meal containing beef probably knows this. I also hate beef stew. But the picture of this meal looks amazing and I think I’m going to have to taste test this one for myself!
1-2 tsp. Olive Oil
1 lb. Beef Roast
Salt and Pepper
1 tsp. Garlic Powder
1 tsp. Italian Seasoning
15 oz. can Diced Tomatoes, undrained
1/2 Onion, diced
2 small garden Green Peppers (or 1 large)
1 lb. rotini pasta
Load slow cooker. Drizzle olive oil. Place roast into slow cooker and add spices. Add can of diced tomatoes. Add more spices. Add diced onions and green peppers. Mix. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours. Prepare the pasta as indicated on package. Serve Beef Roast Marinara over pasta.
Erin Chase, the author of 5DollarDinners.com, served this meal with just a bag of frozen corn. All of this cost her only $4.13! Can you believe it? Once you get couponing under your belt and your freezer and pantry are stocked, then you will be ready to knock out some $5 dollar meals as well!
